Billions of people are on social media everyday…make sure that you are not ignoring your potential buyers.

The Bliss team has taken the time to break out each social media platform so you can decide which one is the best match for your business goals.

Facebook

Men and women in America between the ages of 25 – 54 make up approximately 29% and 32% of Facebook users. Only 9% of users are between the ages of 18 – 24.

For companies whose target customer is under 24 years old, the most effective use of company time may be to forget Facebook altogether. We do recommend creating a company page in order to to have a presence, provide important contact information, and use it strictly for their very robust advertising platform, while not investing in any manpower to publish new posts regularly.

On the other hand, if your company does target a slightly older market, it could be very valuable since 44% of users check Facebook several times per day.

Instagram

500 million users have downloaded the app, and 59% of those users check the app every single day!

Instagram just went through an algorithm update, and users no view content in the order it has been posted. Instagram now shows their users content Instagram deems they would like to see. Much like Facebook, the algorithm has been built to protect the interests of their users. Not many people understand this change. This makes it difficult for companies to have any control over who is exposed to your content, on top of the fact that there are no clickable links in the post. Getting prospects/customers to your website is tough…

Bliss recommends that Instagram be used to build your brand reputation. Posting beautiful images, and videos is a great tool to use to partner with influencers in your industry. but if you plan to use it as a marketing tool, you will need to devise a strategic plan to capitalize on the half a billion users.

Pinterest

Calling all female-focused companies! 42% of online women are Pinterest users, and 34% of these users are between the ages of 18-29, and 28% are between 30-49.

If your products include food, fashion, art, furniture, decor, or anything else that you can create beautiful “pinnable” photos of, Pinterest in the social channel for you! What a great medium to drive targeted traffic to your website, and with the Pinterest buy button, you can make it easier than ever to make a purchase with a click of a button.

Twitter

There are over 300 million active monthly users, and 47% of people who follow a brand on Twitter are more likely to visit that company’s website. 37% of Twitter users are between ages of 18-29, and 25% users are 30-49 years old, with 54% of them earning more than $50,000 a year.

Assuming your potential and existing customers are on Twitter, you can instantly let them know your news, whether it’s an announcement or a new product, a special deal, or an upcoming event they may be interested in. This is also a good medium to listen to what your customers want (or don’t like). You can see why 65.8% of U.S. companies are now using Twitter for marketing purposes.

LinkedIn

If your business sells to other businesses, LinkedIn is your audience! There are over 130 million users in the US, and 79% of B2B marketers view LinkedIn as an effective source for generating leads. 57% are male users, and 44% female.

44% of Linked users earn more than $75,000 in a year, and 41% of millionaires use LinkedIn. With 71% of professionals feeling that LinkedIn is a credible source for professional content, this platform is the perfect place to continue to educate an already educated audience. LinkedIn continues to be the largest social network for professionals.

YouTube

Almost 5 billion videos are watched on YouTube every single day! 38% of the users on YouTube are female, with 62% male, and the average mobile viewing session lasts more than 40 minutes. YouTube on mobile alone reaches more 18-34, and 18-49 year olds than any cable network in the U.S.

Because it’s a video platform, YouTube may not initially seem like a suitable platform for marketing a small business, but now that comments on YouTube are tied to Google+, it’s a more social and influential platform than ever. When you post a new video that you want people to see and share, write a blog post about it—or tweet the link, or post it on Facebook. You can also embed videos on your website, especially tutorials, and product demos.

Currently, only 9% of small businesses use YouTube, but it is the one platform in which the growth is 100x every month!

Blissbranding came into my life right after I opened my Olive Oil store in Coronado, CA in 2010. I started off with the Bliss basic package. I had no extra money to advertise on Facebook, and I was just starting out. Samantha has gotten our Facebook noticed by our community, and our customers. She answers every message on Facebook that comes in for me as if she is a Coronado Taste of Oils employee, messages customers, and I have had so many sales come in just from utilizing her services at the beginning for social media!

She texts me questions when she needs answers to Facebook messages, and emails larger drafts of blogs, and newsletters to me. Moving to the Bliss Black package has been such a great decision! Blissbranding has been doing my marketing services for so long, that I completely trust them to make posts, and send out updates just as if they were standing next to me in the store!

If you are looking for a company you can trust, and will truly help your company, choose Bliss!
